Daphni

A turnaround in service of society

Nico d’Estais takes us on an offshore adventure! In this podcast, he shares his experience as a French sailor who represents Café Joyeux, an NGO of quality cafe-restaurants and a distinguished coffee brand, which hires and trains people with disabilities ☕ We love this coffee at Daphni! 👾

After numerous years in consulting, Nico bid farewell to his corporate life and embarked on his maritime adventure. It was not an impulsive choice, but one that had been in the back of Nico’s mind since his childhood.

For three years now, he has been living his dream of participating in maritime races, where he proudly wears the colors of Café Joyeux. Today, Café Joyeux is: 25 cafés around the world, 186 disabled “Joyeux” team members, 70 assistant managers to supervise the “joyeux” team members, and training courses that lead to certification to work in other cafés/restaurants. Nico is proud to represent this incredible organization, and so are we! Huge congratulations!

This outstanding skipper also shares with us some of his adventures at sea, including when he began hallucinating from sleep deprivation… who or what did he see? What ensued on the water? The answer is revealed in this podcast!

Throughout this conversation, our daphni co-hosts Sophie and Claire dig deep into Nico’s background. You will discover:
