Emperia offers brands a simple and straightforward process to create, launch and manage a virtual store in Web 2. Retailers have full access and control of the content they add to their virtual stores. It is a self service approach with a drag & drop UI to import 3D models, images or videos. They have access to a real-time data dashboard which allows them to follow the customer funnel (conversion rate, ROI, growth of the brand in the digital world).
Why we invested?
Emperia has shown impressive traction and capital efficiency, growing to $2.5m ARR with minimal funding and a scalable self-service product. The CEO demonstrates strong sales skills, and the company benefits from a clear positioning with luxury brands and potential for new verticals. However, the founding team is young and lacks prior achievements, and part of the traction may be driven by brands’ curiosity rather than long-term need. The technology relies on third-party engines, and the remote team structure could limit scalability. Due diligence was light due to late entry in the round.
