daphni Celebrates 10 Years of Backing Europe's Boldest Entrepreneurs
On 1 July, we celebrated a milestone that means a great deal to us: 10 years of daphni.
Over the past decade, we've had the privilege of partnering with ambitious founders who are building technologies that reshape the way we live, work, move, learn, care for our health, and protect our planet.
Since 2016, daphni has grown from a single early-stage venture capital fund into a platform investing across AI, deeptech, climate, commerce, health, enterprise software and science-based innovation. Along the way, we've launched new funds, built our own AI-powered investment platform, Flamel, expanded our community of founders and experts, and continued to evolve what venture capital can look like.
But numbers only tell part of the story.
These ten years have been defined by conviction: backing entrepreneurs early, often before the rest of the market sees what they see. They've been about taking calculated risks, learning continuously, embracing both successes and setbacks, and staying relentlessly curious.
Today, daphni manages close to €1 billion in assets, has backed more than 100 startups, supported 20+ exits, and helped build several companies valued at over €1 billion. Alongside our core funds, we've launched dedicated investment strategies such as Dastore, focused on the future of commerce, and Time4, supporting exceptional founders from overlooked communities and backgrounds. In 2025, we also launched Blue, our fund dedicated to science-based European startups.
Beyond investing, we've worked to build an ecosystem. Today, our community brings together more than 500 founders, operators, scientists, investors and industry experts who help founders tackle the challenges of building globally ambitious companies. We've also embedded sustainability into our investment approach through our B Corp certification, ESG methodology and long-term commitment to supporting entrepreneurs building a more resilient future.
None of this would have been possible without the people who have been part of this journey.
