Save Market built a platform for corporates to value and sell in one click their old IT stocks. Save Market then refurbished all the equipment it bought and resold it directly to corporate or on platforms such as BackMarket, Cdiscount, Ebay, Refurbed... The refurbishment process was traceable and allowed the company to have a green certificate from Save Market.
Why we invested ?
The refurbishment market has long been characterised by strong inefficiencies and low trust levels among end consumers. Refurbishers have traditionally struggled to source products and sell them efficiently. Through our investment in BackMarket, we know the refurbished sector well. BackMarket is solving the distribution pain points of the Refurbishers. By its B2B approach, Save Market is solving the sourcing issue. So when Yoann and Gary introduced Save Market to us, we immediately understood the great market opportunity they were responding to. We are delighted to be able to support them and further push the benefits of the circular economy within as many businesses as possible.
